Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Finale

A solid ending to the series, though it was clearly budget constrained. The art and animation were lower quality. The OP wasn’t as good (Why no Miran?). And it felt like they were super rushed. Gone is the slow and steady pacing of the previous seasons. This finale had a lot of ground to cover, and only 4 episodes to do so. Hence essentially everything contributed to the plot without anything allotted for the pacing.  I guess 3 years after Purezza it looked like they’d never get the funding for another full season to wrap things up, so they decided to end it with a few OVAs. In doing so they gave a very satisfying ending that may rush quite a bit, but manages to wrap up everything well. Ultimately, they did the best they could with what they had. The relationships that had sort of been bubbling up throughout the show all come to a boil and get resolved. New relationships relating to previous events are rushed in to be resolved as well. Nothing is really left hanging. It solidly ends everything. On that note, this was a great end to a great series that overall I’m incredibly satisfied with.
